2 Shots in 1 day... Wow... I really dont feel like doing any work... ;)

Anyway, still experimenting with geektool. This is an idea I had but not quite sure if it's right yet...

What do you think?? ;)

Cheer,
PL

2 questions. 1; How did you change the icons on the right of the task/menu bar? And 2: How did you to that with the music in the corner? i love it!

1. I used dragthing to get the icons on the right
2. The music on the bottom corner is Bowtie. The theme is Zunkunft Condensed.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
PL

I've been experimenting with something similar myself, so what do I think? I'm diggin' it! :) I've been tinkering with circle based clocks (rotating concentric rings, one for month, day, hour, minutes, seconds) as well as bar clocks (climbing up, falling down, going left, going right), so I guess that leads me to ask... are your bars animated or static in their position? The animated bars are cool but I don't always want that much "action" on my desktop.

Keep it up, I would love to compare notes so maybe I'll get something of mine posted in the next day or two so you can check out my work in progress. :)

Cool. In this screen I've just got static bars but I've been working on a script that generates the bars on the fly with imagemagick. (more info [link]) I do however note that cpu usage is higher than I would like when generating the bars very regularly i.e. having a seconds bar that grows every second.

As far as circular clocks go I'm also tinkering with that idea. I'm working on achieving a clock to match my Neon Volume Indicator (to be released soon) and the Neon Bowtie theme.

Check these screenshots for an idea of what I mean

How are you generating the images?

It would be cool to compare notes :D I hope to release soon but I've had little time lately and progress has slowed down to a crawl unfortunately :D

Oh, and for reference I've actually switched to NerdTool [link] as of late. If you haven't seen it yet then give it a look!

Will you at some point release a geeklet for us to be able to use this?

I've already started working on a script to do just that. Check out Journal entry [link]

Development has slowed down a little because I got side tracked by other scripts and deviations ;) but this one isn't forgotten even though there didn't seem to be to much interest in it.

Hope that's the answer you were looking for ;)

Cheers,
PL
